Prototype English Electric Canberra VN799 depicted during an early test flight floewn by the comany test piolot Roland "Bea" Beamont. VN799 first flew on the 13th May 1949 fitted with a rounded fin tip and was powered by Rolls Royce Avon R.A.2 engines
